Triangle students set to get fit

Triangle, Va. –– Personal trainers are headed to Triangle Elementary School to help get students in shape.

Second, third and fourth graders at the school will participate in the second annual Virginia Healthy Youth Day on Thursday.

From 9:10 to 11:25 a.m., students will work with trainers form Sport and Health Clubs who will help teach students about exercise, healthy eating habits and the dangers of smoking.

Those who participate in the fitness event will all receive water bottles and hand weights.

Marjorie Lathers, a physical fitness education teacher at the school, won a $500 grant that goes to facilitate event.
