Hungry robber takes food, cash

North Stafford, Va. –– One man took $5 and a lot of pizza from a delivery driver on Monday, sheriff’s officials said.

The robbery happened about 8 p.m., in the 500 block of Lakewood Drive in North Stafford, near Stafford Marketplace on Va. 610.

The driver, who was working for Dominos Pizza, went to the address to deliver a lot of pizza, sub sandwiches and wings.

When he arrived, a man met him, brandished a knife, and demanded the victim hand over all of the food and money he had on him, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.

The driver gave the man the food and $5, and then asked the alleged robber if he could go on his way.

The man agreed, and the victim left the scene, said Kennedy.

Afterwards, the victim called 911 and told sheriff’s deputies he wasn’t familiar with the man who took the food and cash.

The man is said to have been black, with a skinny build, 5 feet 10 to 5 feet 11 inches tall, wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and a red bandana that covered his face.
