North Stafford, Va. –– A talent show to benefit charity was unexpectedly rescheduled for Oct. 17, according to a representative from one of its sponsor organizations.
The Kids Miracle Talent Show, originally scheduled at 5 p.m. Sunday at North Stafford High School on Va. 610, was postponed until next month, according to a the organization’s Web site.
PotomacLocal.com was tipped to the schedule change when a photographer arrived at North Stafford High School on Sunday afternoon to find the venue empty.
A customer service representative from a nearby Bloom grocery store, which is a sponsor of the talent show, said the show as postponed because of lack of participation.
A call to the Stafford CMN organization has not been returned.
Fliers for Sunday’s talent show billed the event as a fundraiser for Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network, and indicated Bloom and WBQB Radio in Fredericksburg as sponsors.
The latest scheduled incarnation of the talent show will begin at 4:30 p.m., inside North Stafford High School’s auditorium, according to Stafford CMN’s Web site.
Ticket prices have not changed for the event, as adults will be asked to pay $10 and children ages three to 13 will be asked to pay $7 each.
Door prizes will also be auctioned off.
