UPDATE: It appears no one was injured in a tractor trailer crash that closed a portion of U.S. 17 in Stafford County on Thursday morning.
The truck crashed near the Fauquier County line about 9:30 a.m., according to police.
The southbound lanes of the highway were closed in that area for about an hour, said Stafford County Sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
The Virginia State Police was the lead investigating agency in the crash, Kennedy added.
