Woodbridge, Va. — It could be this fall, at the start of the new school year, when a small bridge on Blackburn Road will be reopened.
Prince William Woodbridge Supervisor Frank Principi stated the two-lane bridge near Rippon Boulevard needs to be replaced at a cost of $1 million, and that a portion of Blackburn Road will remain closed as repairs are made.
Update 8 p.m.
Fire officials in Woodbridge said 20 people are homeless Tuesday after a fire ripped through walls at their apartment complex Tuesday.
Fire and Rescue units from OWL VFD, Dale City VFD, and PWCDF&R, responded to the incident. The rapid attack and confinement of the fire held the majority of the damage to the basement. Two family pets were rescued from the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Prince William County Fire Marshal’s office.
