WOODBRIDGE — A man from Triangle is the latest Virginia Lottery winner.

In a press release, the lottery told Potomac Local winner Anthony Wesley of Triangle had a funny feeling when his wife returned home from shopping and said, “Hey. someone won for a million dollars at Shoppers. Was it you?”

WOODBRIDGE — A Woodbridge author’s new book is inspired by spending time in the area’s homeless camps.

Richard Garon’s new novel, “Lee Fits,” is dedicated to Russell J. Campbell, a man he met in the homeless camps, situated alongside area streets. The wooded area around Potomac Mills malls has long been a haven for homeless living in tents in self-sustaining communities.

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY — Virginia State Police are investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash in Spotsylvania County that took the life of a Woodbridge man, and woman from Locust Grove.

The crash happened Sunday at 10:10 p.m. on Courthouse Road in Spotsylvania County, about half a mile south of Route 628, Smith Station Road.
