The Science and Technology Campus of George Mason University outside Manassas will turn 20 years old this month.
Formerly the George Mason University Prince William Campus, several new amenities are planned for the campus to include a new research center, a 350-unit apartment complex, and a brewery.

STAFFORD COUNTY — A Stafford County Sheriff’s Deputy is being heralded as a hero after he saved a woman from alleged abductors.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — Lidl opened its first grocery store in the Washington area on Thursday near Manassas.
The store located near the intersection of Sudley Manor Drive and Ashton Avenue opened at 7:40 a.m. The first 100 customers in line were offered a wooden coin, and the chance to win up to $100 in Lidl gift cards, as well as reusable shopping bags.

HAYMARKET — Prince William police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Haymarket.
We’re told no police officers have been injured. Further details on the incident have yet-to-be-made available by a police spokesman.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY — Data firm Iron Mountain Inc. on Thursday held a grand opening ceremony of its newest data center in Prince William County.
The center will private businesses and government agencies. The new center is a 165,000 square-foot, 10.5-megawatt multi-tenant, and cloud facility located on 83 acres of land.
