The situation on Brooke Road has become intolerable.
That was the gist of a situation, according to residents that spoke to the Stafford County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, December 15. In the last couple of years, floodwaters have made driving on Brooke Road a dangerous prospect, especially on the S-curve that lies near Accokeek Creek.

The Prince William County School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020, to discuss the school division’s next superintendent’s search process. The meeting will take place at the Kelly Leadership Center, at 14715 Bristow Road in Independent Hill.

A new traffic signal installed at the intersection of Mine Road and Sunflower Drive in Stafford County has been activated and is currently operating in flash mode.
To allow motorists time to adjust to the presence of the new traffic signal, it will continue to flash through Thursday, Dec. 17.
