DUMFRIES, Va. — A vehicle crash led to a power outage for about 4,800 Dominion Virginia Power customers today.

Dumfries police Chief Robert Forker said a 40-year-old woman, of Vienna, suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel while traveling south on U.S. 1 at Old Stage Coach Road. The woman was driving a 2010 Honda Odyssey, and during the crash it collided with the rear of a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup driven by a 42-year-old man of Nokesville about 10:50 a.m., said Forker.
