Prince William County fire and rescue crews were called to a blaze in Dale City at 1:41 p.m. Monday, April 24.
No one was injured. The house sustained significant damage.

Prince William Committee of 100 plans to host a school safety program on April 25, 2023. It will occur at Brittany’s Restaurant & Sports Pub at 12449 Dillingham Square, in Woodbridge.
The program will start at 6 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. The cost for members will be $35, and for non-members, it will be $40.

A high school in Woodbridge will be honored as one of only two high schools in Virginia to win the U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Award.

Attention Feline Fans! Last Chance Animal Rescue needs cat-loving volunteers to help with cat and kitten care and adoptions in the Manassas PetSmart, 10834 Sudley Manor Drive. Volunteers age 14+ welcome, volunteers between ages 14-17 must volunteer with a responsible adult. Duties include loving on the kitties, playing with and socializing them, feeding, and light cleaning including litter box scooping. Volunteers would also help with greeting potential adopters, introducing them to the kitty guests, and processing adoptions. Training and orientation is provided. Be prepared to commit to one or more shifts (AM or PM) per week; hours are available weekdays and weekends. You’ll purr with delight knowing that you’re helping to care for cats from high kill shelters and place them in loving homes! Prince William County Parks, Recreation & Tourism will partner with VA StrEATs, and Luxe, for our free, outdoor summer concert series beginning May 5, from 5 pm – 9 pm at Sean T. Connaughton Plaza, 1 County Complex in Woodbridge.
This event will feature food, beer and wine, and live music throughout the summer between May and October. Mark your calendars!
The incident occurred in December 2022. The woman lost her job, and her family, a father, and a 3-year-old girl is seeking help through a Go-Fund-Me fundraiser.
The family seeks $50,000.

OmniRide is proposing an overhaul of local routes in eastern Prince William County, including adding service to new destinations. The purpose is to create a streamlined, efficient, and more direct service.
New destinations and routes include areas that have been highly requested by passengers.
