PRTC will implement some temporary changes for the next phases of Metro SafeTrack work to impact Virginia commuters.
Potomac Mills mall announced it would add some additional temporary commuter parking during the work. We asked Potomac Mills how many more spaces drivers could expect, but they didn’t respond. A PRTC spokeswoman also didn’t have the information.

Water’s End Brewery will open this August in Lake Ridge. It will join a host of new breweries in Prince William County.

James Aubrey Brown, IV, 40, of Woodbridge, who was convicted by a federal jury on charges of attempted coercion and enticement of a minor on March 3, was sentenced today to 10 years in prison for his crimes. Brown was also sentenced to five years of supervised release and ordered to register as a sex offender upon release from prison.

A plan to seek requests for proposals to outsource the management of Prince William County’s Public Libraries is dead.
The county’s Board of Supervisors voted 7-1 on Tuesday to kill the measure proposed this past spring by Gainesville Supervisor Peter Candland. He gave the dissenting vote.
