Brandishing Investigation – On April 18 at 8:51AM, officers responded to investigate a brandishing which was reported to have occurred in the area of Dumfries Rd near Purcell Rd in Manassas (20112) earlier that morning at approximately 8:30AM.

Virginia State Police J.H. Stubblefield is investigating a two-vehicle crash in Fairfax County. State police was called to the scene at 3:51 a.m., on Interstate 66 east of Exit 57.
WOODBRIDGE — One of the busiest libraries in Prince William County is set to close for renovations once more.
Chinn Park Regional Library will close its doors from April 23 to June 3 for upgrades to computer workstation areas, children reading areas, and for the creation of a new meeting and conference room.

The Prince William County Solid Waste Division will hold a free document shred event for Prince William area residents on Saturday, May 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at two locations: Prince William County Landfill, 14811 Dumfries Road, Manassas and Balls Ford Road Yard Waste Compost Facility, 13000 Balls Ford Road, Manassas, VA.
Police tell us they’ve arrested a man suspected in the attempted robbery at a Stafford County dollar store.
They found him trying to rob a bank in nearby Fredericksburg, according to this police press release:
STAFFORD — Orange cones continue to litter Route 610 in North Stafford.
“We’re asked all the time, ‘when will the orange cones go away,” said Stafford County Deputy Administrator Keith Dayton.
STAFFORD — The body of what is being described only as male was pulled from the Rappahannock River on Sunday.
The Stafford sheriff’s office — the lead investigating agency on the case — was called to the Fredericksburg City Dock at 5:46 p.m. Sunday.
