· The General Heiser Boys & Girls Club in Dumfries is looking for volunteer coaches for various skill levels in the girl’s volleyball program age 8-13yrs and the co-ed basketball program for ages 5-15yrs. Typically practice is 1-2 hrs. per week and 2games per week. The basketball season starts June 11-12 and the volleyball season begins June 18th. Come share your love of the game! Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center announced today there is new hope for men who suffer from lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) as a result of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), which is a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate.
The new treatment, called Aquablation® therapy, is performed by the AQUABEAM System which uses a robot-controlled waterjet to remove the enlarged prostate tissue. Fatal Crash Investigation – On May 26, 2018 at 4:57PM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the 16900 block of Stormy Dr in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a crash involving an ATV. The investigation revealed that the victim was riding a 2013 Kawasaki 750 CC eastbound on Stormy Dr when he lost control causing the ATV to overturn. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries a short time later. The victim was not wearing a helmet. Speed is being investigated as a factor in the crash. The investigation continues.
