Nellie Melvin Hale, age 95, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 at her home in Manassas, VA.
She was born on August 24, 1923 in Mechanicsburg, VA to the late Arthur Frazier and Maggie Blackburn (Stanley) Melvin.
Prince William police tell us:
Armed Robbery | Malicious Wounding – On July 18 at 12:40AM, officers responded to investigate a shooting that occurred at near the 3500 block of Crag Mews Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) that occurred earlier that evening. Officers identified three victims, two 20-year-old men and one 18-year-old woman who reported to police that they made arrangements to purchase marijuana from an unknown person at the above location.

WOODBRIDGE — There’s an update to a shooting in Woodbridge we first told you about on Monday.
Prince William police:
MANASSAS — Prince William County’s “Democratic Immigrant Caucus” hosted a rally and vigil against immigrant children’s prisons as part of a collaboration with the nationwide event known as Lights for Liberty.
The event on July 12 coincided with other events across the U.S. held, where vigils here held as part of “Lights for Liberty.”

FAUQUIER COUNTY — A woman and three children were able to get out of their car before a train collided with it, however, the woman suffered life-threatening injuries when the train slammed into her car forcing the car to strike her.
