Three sheds were ablaze on Thursday afternoon the Lake Arrowhead section of Stafford County.
Fire crews were initially called to check on a report of billing smoke in the area of 31 Ridge Drive. They found the sheds on fire, according to initial reports.

Marjorie Havens Gilmore, age 101 of Lake Ridge, VA formally of Arlington, VA passed away on January 23, 2020. She is survived by her children, Douglas Gilmore, Anne Decker (George), and Joan Gilmore; her grandchildren, Carla Swartzendruber (Derrick), and Scott Decker (Michelle); her great grandchildren, Gabby, Nolan, Vivian, Logan and Kendall. Services will be held at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 13318 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge VA 22191 on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 11:00am.

Don passed in the presence of his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Thelma Fay Wright Smith. Their happy marriage resulted in a family of four daughters—Vivian Hetrick, Cynthia Smith, Susan Wilkinson, and Barbara Cirelli—who all now greatly miss his abiding and steadfast love. He is also survived by 4 sons-in-law, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
Don Smith lived the quintessential American Dream. Born and raised in Rostraver, PA, just south of Pittsburgh, he was the third of three sons to first-generation German immigrants. He worked in the steel mills to put himself through college at California University of Pennsylvania, and then served in the U.S. Army in post-WWII Germany. He and his young bride lived off the American base, and it was during their time in Germany that Don and Thelma began their family. They returned to the United States with baby Vivian.
Stafford County Administrator Tom Foley will retire on July 1 after a 30-year career serving jurisdictions in Virginia.
The county will search for a replacement for Foley. His departure comes as the county continues to grow in population and increasingly finds itself increasingly becoming apart of the Northern Virginia region.
A historical marker noting the location of the old Woodbridge Airport was destroyed.
A vehicle that crashed on Old Bridge Road early Sunday morning took out the marker. It was installed on Old Bridge Road near the Lake Ridge Festival shopping center on October 29, 2019.
