Manassas Park sees a new library, and now a new parking garage for the city’s envisioned downtown development.
A new garage would provide at least 500 more parking spaces needed at the Manassas Park VRE station. The new spaces would be in addition to the 600 spaces already in use at the station on weekdays.

A student at Mountain View High School faces charges after a loaded weapon was found on campus.
Deputies were called to the school at 2135 Mountain View Road in Stafford County at 11:20 a.m. They found a loaded 40 caliber Taurus handgun inside a gym locker. A School Resource Officer received information that a 14- year-old student had a gun in the school, the sheriff’s office tells Potomac Local News.
A new restaurant is opening up in Downtown Fredericksburg called Fork N Biscuit.
It’s taking over 715 Caroline Street and is a sharp contrast to Legume, the vegan/vegetarian restaurant that used to be located there.
