The inaugural season for the Fredericksburg Nationals will feature 10 home stands hosting 60 home games and 10 road game series consisting of 60 games against teams in the newly formed Low-A East League.

The Minor League Baseball season will start on Tuesday, May 4, and end on Sunday, September 19. Series will be made up of six games from Tuesday to Sunday each week.

The Virginia State Police Wytheville Division Headquarters has received roughly 50 phone calls today (Feb. 20) from individuals living in Northern Virginia and neighboring states inquiring about a phone call from a VSP “trooper.”

The scammer has “spoofed” a legitimate VSP phone number with a 276 area code so he can appear credible.

U.S. flags won’t be flying on utility poles in Manassas neighborhoods, after all.

City leaders on Saturday quashed a pilot program that would have expanded the city’s flag ordinance to include residential neighborhood streets. For the first time, Old Glory would be allowed to hang on city-owned utility poles in those neighborhoods, the same as it does downtown.
