Malicious Wounding by Mob – On May 10 at 3:08AM, officers responded to the Bayvue Apartments located in the 1400 block of Bayside Ave. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a 42-year-old man, suffering from severe stab wounds and provided immediate first aid until rescue personnel arrived.
The victim was flown to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The investigation revealed that a group of men were in the above area when an altercation ensued. During the altercation, a second victim, a 33-year-old man, was struck resulting in minor injuries before the parties separated.
After more than a year of reduced operating hours in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, all Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (ABC) stores will return to pre-pandemic operating hours on May 14, 2021.
All stores will open by 10 a.m. every day, apart from some stores which regularly open later on Sundays. Store closing times, which returned to pre-pandemic hours in June 2020, will remain the same. Closing times vary by store.

On May 7, 2021, the Colonial Pipeline system, which is the primary fuel source for many Virginia retailers, reported a ransomware cyberattack that resulted in a temporary shutdown.

She was born in Middleton, MA to the late Dell and Clara Greeke. Marilyn was raised in Massachusetts, but after marrying her late husband, moved to Virginia where she raised her children.

Prince William police have identified a woman who was killed while walking along Minnieville Road, near a Kohls department store in Woodbridge on Thursday, May 6.
Police tell us:
The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) will resume its full-service schedule on Tuesday, June 1, increasing commuting options for passengers. VRE has been running a reduced-service schedule since March 17, 2020, following a 90% decline in ridership due to COVID-19. Under the full-service schedule, VRE will operate 32 daily trains on its two lines.
“As people return to the office, we recognize the reduced-service schedule may not be a good fit for their commutes. Convenience is important to our riders and we are pleased to be able to accommodate them,” said VRE Chief Executive Officer Rich Dalton. “A return to full service will also allow us to maintain social distancing on platforms and railcars, even as ridership begins to increase.”
