Next week, the Virginia Department of Transportation will open the second Interstate 95 southbound bridge over the Rappahannock River in the Fredericksburg area.
I-95 southbound capacity across the Rappahannock River will be doubled when the new bridge opens. Six southbound travel lanes will cross the river, marking a significant milestone in the construction of the $132 million I-95 Southbound Rappahannock Crossing Project.

Police nab suspect in Woodbridge robbery
From Prince William police: On October 7 at 3:00PM, officers responded to the Avon store located at 13943 Jefferson Davis Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The store owner reported to police that an unknown man entered the store and approached him. After a brief verbal exchange, the man, later identified as the accused, pushed the store owner out of the way and went behind the counter to cash register.
