Construction is starting on Route 1 improvements at the entrance to the future U.S. Veterans Health Administration outpatient clinic under construction in Spotsylvania County.

The clinic is being built on a four-story, 450,000-square- foot facility built on a 48-acre site with extensive frontage along Route 1 at Hood Drive in Four Mile Fork.


With its grand opening on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, Roaming Rooster is serving up their free-range, grain-fed, antibiotic-free chicken sandwiches to hungry Manassas residents.

Stafford County residents voiced support for school custodians as the contractor hired to clean school buildings is cutting ties with the school division.

During a recent Stafford County Board of Supervisors meeting, residents used the meeting’s public comment time to offer support for school custodians whose jobs are on the line after an announcement by ABM Industries canceling its contract with the schools.

The Prince William County Department of Transportation aims to build a seven-story, $53 million parking garage near Wegmans grocery store in Woodbridge.

The plan for the new structure dates back more than 10 years. Initially, planners said commuters would park at the garage during the day, while baseball fans would flock to it on nights at weekends to watch Minor League Baseball games at a newly-constructed stadium. 


Sudley Elementary School is celebrating a milestone this year, its 50th anniversary.

On Saturday, October 15, 2022, Sudley students and their families will celebrate this anniversary with a fall festival of games, entertainment, and food trucks. In addition, former principals, Sudley retirees, and Prince William County dignitaries will be part of the celebration.


Sammy Infante reached three more times, but the FredNats fell to the Lynchburg Hillcats 5-2 Thursday at Bank of the James Stadium. With the series now tied 1-1, the FredNats and Hillcats will meet in a third game to decide the Carolina League North Divisional series Friday at 2:30.

Jarlin Susana suffered the loss on the mound for the FredNats. The 18-year-old allowed four walks plus a three-RBI double to Will Bartlett before exiting in the first with the score 4-0. Brendan Collins, Kyle Luckham, Tyler Schoff and Bryan Pena combined to allow just one run the rest of the way.
