One of the region’s largest shopping malls remains closed today due to too the coronavirus outbreak.
Potomac Mills mall in Woodbridge was set to reopen today when management officials announced on March 18 it would temporarily close the center.

Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam has banned all dining inside restaurants, and gatherings of more than 10 people anywhere in the state, in response to the CDC’s recommendations of social distancing in order to slow the spread of coronavirus, which requires people to stand at least six feet apart.
The only co-working space in Downtown Manassas is cutting its operating hours.

The U.S. Small Business administration has declared Virginia, along with the rest of the country a disaster area in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
Now small businesses will be eligible for loans backed by the federal government. Small business owners and non-profit organizations may borrow up to $2 million due to the loss of business during the outbreak.

The owner of the region’s newest The Goddard School, Rebecca Chen, celebrated the opening of her new school in February with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
