A new department store in Manassas will host its grand opening Tuesday.
Gordman’s will replace the old Peebles department store at 9018 Mathis Avenue in Manassas. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 9 a.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2020.
The retailer sells men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, as well as household items and pet products.
The first 100 people in line at the grand opening event will get an insulated tote bag, as well as be entered to win a $50 gift card or $5 card to use in the store.
The retailer will also make a $1,000 donation to Osbourn High School as part of the grand opening.
A total of nine new Gordman’s stores will open in Virginia, to include locations in King George and Warrenton.
Last August, store owner Stage Stores said it would convert all Peebles stores to Gordman’s stores. Prior to the announcement, former Peebles stores at Marumsco Plaza on Route 1 in Woodbridge and in North Stafford Plaza on Route 610 in Stafford County.
