STAFFORD — There is a sense that that at least one Stafford County official is backing off a once hardline approach for repeal and replacement the county’s cluster ordinance.
The issue was discussed Tuesday at a meeting of the county’s Community and Economic Development Committee following a vote by the Planning Commission last week to urge the Board of County Supervisors to repeal the cluster ordinance.
“Like most other people, we were surprised by Mr. Sawyers’ resignation this morning. We wish him well and hope he resolves the personal and professional concerns that caused him to come to this decision. STAFFORD — Stafford County is being pulled closer into the Northern Virginia fold, and its proposed budget reflects its response to the needs of a growing community.
Transportation improvements, more money for schools, public safety, and the need to pay its employees a more competitive salary are all included in a proposed budget that was seen for the first time by the county’s Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.
