Police say they’ve identified two of three people who walked into at a Home Depot store and made off with items without paying for them.

Police first told us off about the case on Friday, April 3, 2020, by posting a “can you identify?” bulletin for thefts of tools that occurred at the store, located at 8805 Liberia Avenue in Manassas. The men in the photos labeled “Suspect 1” and “Suspect 2” have been identified.


Prince William

Prince William County Board of Supervisors Chair At-large Ann Wheeler did an about-face on Monday.

She said she would advocate for keeping the county’s $1.125 per $100 of assessed Real Estate tax rate right where it is for the Fiscal Year 2021. That’s the rate approved by the Board of County Supervisors in 2019  when it was under Republican control.

The coronavirus is expected to take its toll on the Fredericksburg City budget.

City Manager Timothy Baroody is excepted to announce at a city council meeting on Tuesday that, since the economic shutdown, the city could lose as much as $8 million in revenue.

Illegal drugs made their way inside the Rappahannock Regional Jail in Stafford County, and now multiple inmates face charges.

A joint investigation by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and the Rappahannock Regional Jail’s Gang Unit has been investigating numerous individuals who were involved in attempting to have illegal drugs smuggled into the jail through the mail.
