Sue Wilson walked out of the emergency room just after 7 o’clock Thursday night.

After 24 years as ER nurse, it was her last shift at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge. Her husband, Bob, and her grandchildren gathered outside to greet her.

Prince William County Route 1 name change cost estimates top $1 million

A county report estimates it could cost as much as $1.5 million to change the name of Jefferson Davis Highway.

Route 1 in Prince Willam County, as its also known, runs from Quantico, through Dumfries and Woodbridge, north to the Occoquan River.

Police rack up $220,000 in overtime costs during riots, protests

The Federal Government picked up the tab for emergency medical supplies needed during the coronavirus pandemic in Prince William County.

The Board of County Supervisors accepted $344,000 in federal grant funds to help offset the county’s costs to respond to the coronavirus pandemic and to provide emergency medical care to residents.

Full Primary Election results: GOP picks Gade, Rashid tops Williams

Daniel M. Gade will be the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate to face incumbent Mark Warner (D) in the November 3 General Election.

Gade handily beat his Republican Primary Election opponents Allisa A. Baldwin, and Thomas Speciale II with 67% of the vote. Locally Gade won Prince William and Stafford counties with 58% and 64% of the vote, respectively.
