On September 2 at 1:41PM, officers responded to the 17200 block of Richmond Hwy in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shooting.
Prince William fire and rescue: “Last evening (Monday, September 4, 2023, 8:45 PM), units were dispatched for a house fire in the 9200 block of Rainbow Falls Drive (Bristow). Crews arrived with fire showing from the attached garage and spreading further into the home and attic. The fire was quickly brought under control. Two (2) firefighters were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Both were treated and released from a medical facility. No other injuries were reported. The home sustained significant damage and was posted unsafe to occupy, displacing two (2) adults. The Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire originated in the garage caused by accidental electrical issues.”
Prince William fire and rescue: “Earlier this morning, units were dispatched to a townhouse on fire in the 4600 block of Whitaker Place. Crews arrived with fire to the rear of the home extending up into the attic. The fire was quickly brought under control. No injuries were reported. The home sustained major damage, and the Building Official declared the structure unsafe to occupy. The American Red Cross is assisting 2 adults who resided at the address. The Fire Marshal’s Office stated the fire was electrical in origin and was determined to be accidental.”

On July 27, detectives began an investigation into inappropriate communication involving a former teacher with Prince William County Schools that was reported to have occurred in Prince William County in July 2023.
