Stafford resident Linda Denise Ramsey was convicted and sentenced to five years in jail for welfare fraud.
According to a Stafford County release, in addition to the prison time, Ramsey is required to pay the Stafford Department of Social Services $28,567 in restitution.
Following sentencing, Ramsey was taken the Rappahannock Regional Jail to start her 5-year sentence, said a Stafford release.

Update
The identities of the three individuals arrested by the Stafford sheriff’s office – following a bank robbery yesterday – have been released.
The three individuals are 35-year old Richmond man Jerome Anderson, 28-year old Richmond man Anthony Washington and 21-year old Richmond man Tyrone Jones.
Anderson, Washington and Jones have all been charged with one count of robbery, one count of conspiracy to commit a robbery, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of grand larceny.

There's a new barbecue joint in town.
Mission BBQ opened in the North Stafford Shopping Center on Monday. The chain restaurant with locations in Richmond, Roanoke, Virginia Beach, saw a line form with hungry customers form outside their location off Route 610 in North Stafford.
Jacqueline and Mark Dickenson took their family to the restaurant for opening day. They said the pulled pork was delicious.

A new dog park opened in Stafford County on Saturday, June 6, 2015.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the investigation as to the whereabouts of Lance Calvin Buckley continues.
Late yesterday afternoon, as the investigation continued, the phone that belonged to Lance Buckley was electronically located, very briefly, in the area of Blockhouse Point Conservation Park in Montgomery County, Maryland. The Montgomery County Police Department initiated a search in that area but Lance Buckley was not located. The investigation continues.

The Stafford County Sheriff's Office says they have their suspect in an early morning shooting in the county:Â
The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that Antoine Gray Johnson, age 26, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland has been charged with 1 Count of 1st Degree Murder and 1 Count of Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. Johnson is currently in the process of being incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.Â
Johnson knew is victim, 29-year-old Jeremy Brown, according to investigators.Â
