More people who live in rural Spotsylvania County will now have the option of having high-speed internet beamed into their homes.
Data Stream Broadband has recently opened offices in the Wilderness area of the county where they will endeavor to provide broadband internet service for hundreds of potential customers in the area. Broadband speeds will vary between 60-70 Mbps (mega bits per second), which is within the definition for broadband set by the FCC.

Tennis season is about to begin in Prince William County. But that’s small comfort for players at Forest Park High School near Dumfries.
The school’s tennis courts have fallen into disrepair over the years since they were resurfaced in 2009. Large cracks have formed on the surface, increasing the potential for falls and injuries to feet, ankles, and legs. It can also cause balls to awkwardly bounce off the cracks, interfering with play.

The Stafford County Regional Airport Authority is discussing the possibility of holding a recycling day.
A letter sent to the airport by Diane Jones, the Recycling Manager of the Rappahannock Regional Solid Waste Management Board, or R-Board, is requesting permission from the airport to hold a bi-annual collection for household, hazardous, and electronic waste on their property.
Fredericksburg is considering joining a coalition of local governments banned together to strive for racial equity.
The city is considering joining Government Alliance on Race and Equity, a joint project between two California based racial equity groups called Race Forward:The Center for Racial Justice Innovation, and The Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society.
