Joshua Sumter broke into his mother’s house in Stafford County at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to investigators.
The 18-year-old did not have permission to be at the home, and the victim called 911, according to Stafford County Sheriff’s spokeswoman M.C. Moncure.

A mother claims her daughter was neglected while staying in a group home in Woodbridge.
Investigators with Virginia’s Department of Social Services say the mother’s allegations could have merit, but then closed an investigation into the matter.
A pickup drove over an 800-gallon underground propane tank on Monday.
Fire and rescue crews were called to the scene int he 13000 block of Gables Green Way in Gainesville at 11:02 a.m. The truck caused a rupture in the tank.

Updated from Virginia State Police:
At 5:33 p.m., Monday (June 6), Virginia State Police Trooper J.P. Kletzke was called to the report of a plane crash near Interstate 95 in Stafford County.
The Prince William County School Board will again vote on what model it will use for the 13th high school.
The $125 million school is slated to be built in the western portion of the county, to open in 2021, and relieve overcrowding at Battlefield, Patriot, and Stonewall Jackson High School. School officials haven’t’ said where the school will be built.
