McDonnell signs bill that provides insurance coverage for autistic children
Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) has signed a bill — again — to provide insurance coverage for families with autistic children, according to his office, The Washington Post reports.

North Stafford, Va. — A Stafford sheriff’s deputy drew his taser weapon and got into a struggle with a suspect Monday night.
About 9 p.m., witnesses called 911 and reported seeing flashlights near an area with homes under construction as well as containers used for storing construction materials on Bismark Drive.
The computers, which were property of Prince William County Government, went missing between 2001 and 2004.
Investigators in January tracked the laptops to a contracted employee who worked for the county during that timeframe, according to police documents.
The summit is part of an effort by the Board of Supervisors to improve the local business climate by focusing on two major issues: 1) local telecommunications access by the business community and 2) further defining the mission of a local Research and Technology Park.

“The Rappahannock MRC unit enthusiastically supports Million Hearts™ as a national effort to fight heart disease and stroke,” said Colleen Hopkins, Rappahannock MRC unit leader. “Our MRC unit is promoting the Million Hearts™ initiative by providing free blood pressure screenings, free body mass index screenings, and offering educational materials about healthy behaviors to the less fortunate in our communities. We will also be promoting the Million Hearts™ website and encouraging individual commitments to make heart healthy choices.”
The Rappahannock MRC has nearly 150 volunteers, including medical and public health professionals, as well as non-medical support volunteers. The Rappahannock MRC unit participates in multiple public health activities throughout the year–ranging from flu vaccination clinics to suicide prevention social marketing projects and to disease prevention through programs like the Million Hearts™ and “Let’s Move!” campaigns.
