Our region is in for another round of winter weather just in time for St. Patricks’ Day.

A winter storm watch is in effect for our area and a winter storm warning to the west, in the Charlottesville area. At least five inches of snow is expected to fall in Prince William and Stafford counties Sunday night into Monday (St. Patrick’s Day).

You will have a predetermined route from either the Manassas or Woodbridge Senior Center and it only take about 2 hours to complete. Schedules are easily adaptable to your schedule. WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A U-Haul was used to steal nearly $9,000 in outdoor goods from a Big Lots store in Woodbridge.

When police pulled up to find the burglary in progress the two men fled the scene. But it didn’t take long for police to figure out who was behind the crime because they used the truck rental paperwork left inside the cab of the truck to identify one of the suspects.

STAFFORD, Va. — Funds to treat mental illness in children would get a boost under the proposed Stafford County budget for FY2015.

The county is set to hand over nearly $41,000 more than it did a year ago to the Rappahannock Community Services Board (RCSB) to treat children with mental illness. Officials said the number of youths being treated by the intergovernmental agency is on the rise.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A helicopter was called to take at least one patient to a hospital after a serious crash in Woodbridge.

At least two cars collided on Va. 123 overpass at Interstate 95 this morning. One of the cars was cashed in the accident and emergency crews appeared to be working on assisting a crash victim. Another patient had been placed on a stretcher and was most likely waiting for a helicopter.

Obituary for Mr. Kevin Byron Wilson

Kevin Byron Wilson, 47, of Lake Ridge, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Kevin was born September 7, 1966 in Alexandria, Virginia and is the son of Eldon (Robin) and Shirley Wilson of Lewes, DE. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Lisa Anne Wilson of Lake Ridge, VA; two sons Christopher Wilson of Lake Ridge, VA and Matthew Wilson of Lexington Park, MD; one brother Danny Wilson and his wife Lisa of Lewes, DE along with one sister, Cindy Cassil and her husband Dan of Alexandria, VA. His Mother-in-law, Leslie E. Dias of Dale City and three brother-in-laws, Joseph Dias, Robert and Jeff Twomey along with several nieces and nephews. Kevin is also survived by his four best friends, his dogs: Bailey, Max, Taz and Milo. Kevin worked as a Bookbinder for 29 years. Kevin loved his Dallas Cowboys and Washington Capitals and was an avid Nascar Fan. Kevin loved doing yard work, coaching his children in sports, working on cars with his oldest son and watching his youngest playing high school and college football. Kevin was very proud of his children and their accomplishments in life. The family will receive relatives and friends from 7-8 p.m., Friday, March 14, 2014 at Mountcastle Funeral Home locate at 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, VA 22193.
