$75,000 Budgeted to Study Woodbridge Trailer Park that Flooded During Tropical Storm

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Taxpayers will spend $75,000 on a study to determine if a mobile home park owner can put back trailers where a flood all but destroyed them during a tropical storm.

A settlement between Prince William County and the Holly Acres Mobile Home Park off U.S. 1 in Woodbridge, near Marumsco Plaza, requires the study to be conducted. In September 2011, the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee dumped several inches of rain across the area causing severe flooding that caused the Marumsco Creek to topple its banks and spill into the park and along U.S. 1.

Woodbridge PF Changs on List of Restaurants Affected by Credit Card Security Breach

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — If you’ve eaten and then swiped your credit card at a PF Changs restaurant in Woodbridge in the past two months you may be a victim of data theft.

The company that operates its China Bistro at Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center, as well as other locations in the U.S., says the security of its customers’ credit card data was breached on June 12. The restaurant says they’ve been processing credit cards securely since June 12.

Metro Stations on Blue Line Open Later for Redskins Pre-Season Game

Metro's “Rush Plus” service allows riders on Blue line trains from the Franconia-Springfield station the option of boarding a train that will take them across the Yellow line bridge crossing the Potomac River.

The Washington Redskins will take on the New England Patriots on Thursday at FedEx Field in Maryland.

The pre-season game will undoubtedly draw fans from across the region, and those fans will be able to take Metro to and from the game. The public transit service says trains on the Blue line that serves the Franconia-Springfield Metro stop, will run an hour longer Thursday night.

The county’s sheriff’s department holds the annual celebration each year at the shopping center, located at 1220 Stafford Marketplace.
