Police in Manassas say they’re working to curb theft and abuse of prescription medications.
In a new partnership, they’re now working to take back prescription meds in an effort to bring awareness to drug misuse and abuse.
In a letter to President Trump today, the governor says the commonwealth is welcoming of “refugees who are fleeing war, persecution, or other dire circumstances.”
His statement is in response to a federal Executive Order from President Trump signed in October 2019 which requires state governments to say whether or not refugees were accepted in those states, ordering the Department of “Health and Human Services shall develop and implement a process to determine whether the State and locality both consent, in writing, to the resettlement of refugees within the State and locality, before refugees are resettled within that State and locality under the program.”

Police are investigating an overnight shooting that left one man dead near Occoquan.
The shooting occurred near the intersection of Old Bridge Road and Route 123.
The old HOV lanes on Interstate 395 have been converted to toll lanes and were opened to traffic on Sunday night.

Eads Street in Arlington are the latest in a network of managed toll lanes in Nothern Virginia that require drivers to have an E-ZPass or E-ZPass Flex transponder to use, are tolled 24-hours a day, and are free to use if you have more three or more occupants inside your car.
