The family members of two murdered children cried foul when they learned the killer would not face death for his crime.
Carillo Dean admitted in a Manassas courtroom Tuesday he killed his wife, 45-year-old Elizabeth Dean, and her children, 13-year-old Connor and 15-year-old Brittany on Feb. 12, 2009.
Fairfax County, Va. –– Drivers on Interstate 95 today will have a new exit ramp to use in Fairfax County.

Carillo Dean, a former Prince William County park ranger who last year shot his 45-year-old wife, Elizabeth Dean, her 13-year-old son, Connor, and 14-year-old daughter, Elizabeth, plead guilty Tuesday to three charges of capital murder in connection to the Feb. 2009 slayings.
Dean will not receive the death penalty in the case as part of a plea deal, which has surviving members of the family – including Kevin Kirk, the father of the slain children and Elizabeth’s former husband – upset with prosecutors.
