STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — When he started breaking things and taking off his clothes, police said that’s when the 911 caller picked up the phone.

A man was taken into custody about 6:15 a.m. Sunday outside a home on Mountain View Road in Stafford County. The suspect came to the house and began yelling frantically at those inside.

Prince William police reported the following arrests:

Strong Armed Robbery – On June 15th at 5:27PM, officers responded to the 14500 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 20 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was with the three juvenile acquaintances in the area above when one of the juveniles demanded the victim’s iPod. When the victim refused, one of the juveniles reached into his pocket and removed it. When the victim attempted to get the iPod back, another juvenile assaulted him before all three fled on foot. The victim was treated at an area hospital for minor injuries. Detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to locate all three suspects. Following the investigation, all three juveniles were arrested.

DUMFRIES, Va. — Town officials want vendors to apply to sell their wares in Dumfries.

Under a newly proposed ordinance, vendors at town events such as the Dumfries Christmas parade, fall festival, and multicultural festival must apply for a $50 vendors license if they plan to sell anything at their booth.

NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — The donation of a home could lead to a better, safer U.S. 1.

Stafford County leaders are expected to learn more this week about a home at 3298 Jefferson Davis Highway in North Stafford. The home on the corner of U.S. 1 and Woodstock Lane is owned by Janet Borden, and the total property is valued at $114,300, according to county documents.
