It’s hot out there in the Potomac Communities- and we’ve got some hot events to match! The PotomacLocal.com Events Calendar is updated weekly and includes events for everyone in our coverage area.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be Celebrate Fairfax, a local festival for people of all ages. Check out the live concerts, vendors, and kids stations for a great time.
The Potomac Nationals are also in town all weekend playing against the Salem Red Sox. There are also special promotions running each night beginning with Bull Riding night on Friday and continuing with Girl Scout Night and Little League Night on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Saturday it’s the end of an era for local children’s bookstore Three Story Tellers and they’re inviting the community out to help them close in style. Face painting, snacks, games, crafts, and of course, books, will be in the lineup. Saturday will also feature several outdoor concerts at Connaughton Plaza in Woodbridge, the Lorton Workhouse, and Leesylvania State Park.
Leesylvania will also be the site of several guided hikes on their Bushey Point Trail on Sunday.
