Alex and his daughter Amanda, both military veterans, opened their shop on Grant Avenue in Manassas to share their passion for fresh olive oils and balsamic vinegar with their friends in thier sunlit tasting gallery.
A tasting is now an event that you can share with your friends and family. Manassas Olive Oil is available for bachelor parties, after-hour night time events, and culinary shows.
Becuase of Manassas Olive Oil, more people in and around Manassas are having fun while tasting delicious oils and vinegar. Recently, Manassas Olive Oil shared partnered with Love, Charley for a First Friday event featuring free tastings, raffles, and coupons.
Manassas Olive Oil also partnered with KBCulinary, which made a delicious Chai Tee Cheesecake with a Fig Balsamic glaze ready to be tasted.
“We’re here for pretty much anyone who wants to try something new and fun. It’s a really great way to get friends together to do something fun, something different, something most people haven’t really done before,” said Cameron, of Manassas Olive Oil Company.
“It’s kind of an educational experience. It’s a fun experience and of course, a social experience as well.”
Everyone is free to try and taste many of the products that Manassas Olive Oil offers. First, guests will be given a tour of the facility, including learning about the unique backgrounds of the oils, the history of the company, and the science behind how oils are created.
But aside from learning about oils and tastings, why do guests keep coming back?
“I think it’s something that people haven’t done before. It’s generally something completely new…being a social experience kind of adds to it as well,” said Cameron. “You get to not only learn something new, you get to try something good and different and you also get to experience that with friends and family,” he said.
If you like, you can bring food to Manassas Olive Oil for your special event. Fruit platters, and cheese and cracker platters are all great examples of food to bring to your tasting event.
Manassas Olive Oil Company cannot serve alcohol. However, guests are free to bring and serve their own wine. Manassas Olive Oil is also happy to supply tables, flatware, and plates.
Four is the minimum amount for group events, and between five and ten guests is a perfect size. However, Manassas Olive Oil can have group events with up to fifteen guests.
“It’s a decently-sized open storefront, so we can easily accommodate that many but after that it gets a little crowded and hard to keep everyone in one place, “ said Cameron.
There is no charge for having after-hour nighttime events for groups of four to five guests.
