Carlock to Lead Training Academy, Leaves Northern Virginia Community College

MANASSAS, Va. – New Horizon Security Services, Inc., a privately owned security services firm headquartered in Manassas, VA, specializing in armed and unarmed security officers in the Mid-Atlantic region, is pleased to announce that Randall Carlock has been appointed Director of its Training Academy.

In this role, Carlock will expand and enhance an already extensive training portfolio. In addition, he will focus on developing new methods of delivery and compliance to meet the evolving needs of Academy students and the security challenges faced by our customers.

Carlock joins New Horizon Security from the Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC) Campus Police Department where he served as both the Training Coordinator and the Police Lieutenant and District Commander for two campuses and an off-site learning center serving 23,000 students and 600 faculty and staff.

The Academy serves more than 2,500 students each year. Current offerings include Department of Criminal Justice certified training for both the public and employees, as well as leadership and development programs including proprietary customer service training modeled after the Disney® quality service approach. “Having Randall lead and innovate our Academy will ensure we’re at the forefront of our industry to better serve our community and customers,” Frazer continued.

Carlock’s decorated law enforcement career includes serving as Police Lieutenant and Patrol Commander for Howard University Campus Police Department Hospital Division; Patrol Sergeant for the Dumfries Police Department; Deputy Sherriff with Prince William County Sheriff’s Department and Criminal Investigator/Police Officer with the Dumfries Police Department.

Carlock has more than 50 professional certifications. He has studied law enforcement and criminal justice at the California University of Pennsylvania, Institute of Security and Technology, Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy, Northern Virginia Community College and the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy.
