WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Police were called to Belmont Bay on Tuesday after a boater was found unconscious in his craft.
The boater bumped his head and fell unconscious. Someone called 911 when his boat on the Occoquan River in Woodbridge drifted to shore and spotted the boater inside the craft, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok. A helicopter was called to take the man to an area hospital.
The identity of the boater or their condition was not released.
Several neighbors told Potomac Local News there was a large police presence as the boater was being placed onto the helicopter.
Police did not report any investigation in connection to this call for help.
