NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — Bikers came to North Stafford to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attacks.
The motorcyclists were part of the “2 Million Bikers to D.C.” rally scheduled to take place today, expected to draw bikers from all over the U.S. to Washington.
The organization staged the rally after they failed to obtain a permit from the National Park Service.
Today in Stafford, about 100 bikers gathered in front of Mainstreet Grill and Bar on Va. 610 starting at 7 a.m. Two-hours later, the motorcycles were escorted from the parking lot by Virginia State Police onto Va. 610 to Interstate 95 where all of the northbound lanes were briefly closed to accommodate the motorcycles.
