NORTH STAFFORD, Va — Above the doorway of a now shuttered restaurant, theres a sure-sign that a new restaurant is coming to take its place.
Ricky’s Chicken will open a new location in a retail complex along U.S. 1 in North Stafford, near Boswell’s Corner. It will replace the now closed Habanero’s restaurant. Dubbed “Ricky’s Chicken II,” it will be the second restaurant to open under the name.
A manager at the first Ricky’s Chicken at Mapledale Plaza in Dale City said no one was available to speak to Potomac Local about the new location.
Where “Habaneros” and a red chili pepper was once painted on the side of the shopping center to attract traffic to the old restaurant, that has been painted over with a fresh coat of paint.
