FAMPO Announces Complete Streets Public Workshops and Regional Survey

“The Fredericksburg Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (FAMPO) will release a regional survey and host three Public Workshops to gather input and inform the public about FAMPO’s Complete Streets Plan,” FAMPO announced. “The survey will give Fredericksburg area residents the opportunity to share their opinions on regional needs and impact the future of bicycle, pedestrian, and public transportation planning.”

“Complete Streets ensure the safe and adequate accommodation of all users of the transportation system, including pedestrians, bicyclists, public transportation users, children, older individuals, individuals with disabilities, motorists, and freight vehicles,” the organization stated.

FAMPO’s Complete Streets Plan aims to improve safety, accessibility, and connectivity across the region. The survey will be released following the November 17, 2025, Policy Committee meeting. Public workshops will be held in a drop-in format with hands-on activities, light refreshments, and opportunities to speak directly with planners:

  • Stafford: November 19, 2025, 4–7 p.m. at Porter Branch, Meeting Room 2, 2001 Parkway Blvd.
  • Spotsylvania: December 3, 2025, 4–7 p.m. at Salem Church Branch, Meeting Room 1, 2607 Salem Church Rd.
  • Fredericksburg: December 10, 2025, 4–7 p.m. at Fredericksburg Branch, Meeting Room 2, 1201 Caroline St.
