Crime Watch: Sex Cases Investigated

Aggravated Sexual Battery – On June 15 at 5:36AM, detectives from the Special Victims Bureau responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 12100 block of Pineneedle Ct in Woodbridge (22192). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 9 year old boy of

Woodbridge, had been sexually assaulted by the accused, a family member, while at the residence in the above area the night prior. Following the investigation the accused was subsequently arrested.

Arrested:

Washington Alfonso GIBBS, 18, of the 12100 block of Pineneedle Ct. in Woodbridge, charged with aggravated sexual battery and indecent liberties with a minor. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond

Felony Child Abuse – On June 16 at 1:34PM, police responded to investigate a child abuse call which was reported to have occurred in the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 2 month old boy, had sustained a broken arm and was being treated at an area hospital. Detectives from the Special Victims Bureau investigated and determined that the accused, a family member, had grabbed the child’s arm in an attempt to feed him. Following the investigation, the accused was subsequently charged.

Michael Gregory HATCH, 29, of the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge, Charged with felony child abuse, court date unavailable, held on a $5,000 secured bond

Indecent Liberties – On June 17 at 10:56PM, detectives from the Special

Victims Bureau responded to investigate a sexual abuse allegation which was reported to have occurred in the 1200 block of Potomac Vista Dr in Woodbridge (22191). The investigation revealed that the victim’s, an 11 year old boy & a 10 year old boy – both of Woodbridge, were at the residence of the accused, a known acquaintance. While there, the accused asked both boys

to expose themselves to him. Following the investigation the accused was subsequently arrested.

John Joseph SEAVER, 73, of 1273 Potomac Vista Dr #201 in Woodbridge, Charged with 2 counts of indecent liberties with a child by a custodian. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond

Indecent Liberties – On June 15 at 11:44AM, detectives from the Special Victims Bureau responded to investigate a sexual abuse allegation which was reported to have occurred in the 17000 block of Gatlin Ct in Woodbridge (22191). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 17 year old female of Woodbridge, had been sexually assaulted by the accused, a family member, in the summer of 2008. Following the investigation the accused was subsequently arrested.

Arrested:

Mark KIMBALL, 46, of the 17000 block of Gatlin Ct in Woodbridge

Charged with 2 counts of indecent liberties with a child by a custodian. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond
