WOODBRIDGE, Va. — The man who initially pleaded not guilty to fatally beating his wife and then dumping her body behind a coffee shop in Woodbridge now faces 30 years in jail.
Franklin Camacho, 42, of Perth Amboy, N.J., will be sentenced May 20 in the beating death of Leonilda L. Caceres, 45, who was hit several times in the head with a hammer, according to NJ.com.
Prince William police were called to a dumpster behind a Starbucks on Prince William Parkway near I-95 on Jan. 21, 2010 where they found Carceres’ body.
It was learned Camacho beat his wife and then drove her to site in Prince William County.
Camacho eventually plead guilty to the killing and faces 30 years in jail. He’s now being held on a $2 million bond.
In an separate case, Daniel Everette plead guilty Monday to shooting and killing his wife, 48-year-old Alice Everette, while she was sitting in a drive-through line at a Chik-fil-A fast food restaurant on Feb. 17, 2011, reports Insidenova.com.
While the two deaths are unrelated, the fast food restaurant sits about 500 feet from where dumpster where Caceres’ body was found.
Everette will be sentenced June 28 and faces life in prison.
