Weekend Get Out Guide

It’s going to be a cold one, but luckily this weekend will also be great for local indoor events.

The NV Players will continue their presentation of “Aladdin”. While the show is being performed in Burke, many of the actors are from Prince William County. “Annie” will take the stage at Gar-Field High School in Woodbridge with showtimes this weekend and next, and you can also catch “Miss Electricity” at the Lorton Workhouse’s theatre for young audiences through February 25.

Further south? Catch “Beauty and the Beast” at The Riverside Dinner Theater’s children’s show, or “Fiddler on the Roof” for adults.

Looking for a little winter-wonderland style exercise? The re-opened Prince William Ice Center offers several public sessions this weekend, many of which will not be open next weekend when the center hosts the U.S. Junior Speedskating Championships.

Also for children, Stafford Parks will host an “Art Extravaganza” on Saturday from 9 a.m.-noon.

Sunday, the Gari Melcher Home will host a Bridal Expo. Reservations are required at a cost of $10, call 540-654-1848. Door prizes will be given away throughout the afternoon, and a tour of the grounds is included.

Have a fantastic weekend!
