Delivery man robbed of cash, pizzas
A man delivering pizzas in the Dumfries area was robbed Sunday night.
The 18-year-old male victim was in the 16900 block of Point Pleasant Lane off Allen Dent Road when we was approached by a man who hit him in the head with what, police said, appeared to be a handgun.
The victim fell to the ground and two other males surrounded him and took an undisclosed amount of cash and pizzas from the victim, said Prince William police.
The victim suffered minor injuries.The attackers are described as males between 16 and 20-years-old, between 5 feet 6 inches tall, 145 pounds, all of them with thin builds, wearing dark colored sweatshirts and dark colored scarves or masks.

Man attempts to lure child
Sheriff’s deputies are on the lookout for a man in a van who tried to entice a 10-year-old girl outside her home.
The girl was standing outside her home on Nugent Street, just of Waplpe Street and Winding Creek Drive, when a man in a van yelled at the child to come over to him, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
The child ran back inside her home and the man left in the van, said Kennedy.
The man is said to be white with no facial hair, wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
The child was not injured, and the sheriff’s department is treating the case as suspicious, said Kennedy.
Copper wire stolen
An electrical foreman reported to authorities 19 spools of copper wire were stolen from Falmouth Elementary School in the 1000 block of Forbes Street in Stafford County, sometime between Jan. 13 and 16.
The school is undergoing renovations, and the value of the stolen wire amounts to $8,700, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
