Arrest made in theater robbery
A 16-year-old has been charged in connection to a robbery at a movie theater in Woodbridge.

Police arrested the Dumfries teenager and charged him with two counts of robbery, two counts of abduction and with one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, said police.

On Dec. 29, at 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy said three males approached them while at the AMC Theatres at Potomac Mills mall and then forced them into a theater, implied they had a weapon, and robbed the victims of cash.

No one was injured in the case.

Arrest made in Dale City burglary
Police officers in Dale City tracked down a man they believe robbed a house on Glendale Road.

Police were called at 10:58 a.m. Friday to the 4200 block of Glendale Road after someone reported a man exiting a house, said police.

A police officer tracked down the suspect, who matched the caller’s description, and arrested him.

Charles Edward Barnes, 23, is charged with burglary and was held on a $2,000 bond, police said.
