Stafford, Va. — Changes are coming to the Stafford County Board of Supervisors, and some outgoing Board members on Tuesday will be commended.
Board Chairman and Garrisonville District Supervisor Mark Dudenhefer (R), Griffis-Widewater District Supervisor Bob Woodson (D), and George Washington District Supervisor Harry Crisp (D), all be out at the end of the month. Crisp and Woodson chose not to run for reelection and will see their terms expire Dec. 31. Dudenhefer was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates to represent the 2nd District which includes portions of eastern Prince William and Stafford counties.
During Tuesday’s Board meeting, county officials plan to recognize the three men for their service to the Board.
In November, voters chose Independent Jack Cavalier to replace Woodson on the Board. Cavalier previously served on the Stafford Board of Supervisors four years ago.
Voters chose Republican and retired Marine Bob Thomas to serve as the George Washington District Supervisor.
Dudenhefer is expected to step down from the Board at the end of the month to focus his attention on his new duties as a Delegate in Richmond. County officials are currently accepting applications for his replacement, which will serve on an interim basis.
