Fredericksburg land developer Carl D. Silver has died at age 86.
Silver may be best known for the Central Park shopping development just off Interstate 95 in Fredericksburg, which opened in 1995. The complex’s main thoroughfare, Carl D. Silver Parkway, is named after him.
The Silver Companies offices in Fredericksburg are closed today.
Silver Companies is currently developing Quantico Corporate Center in North Stafford. The company is now lead by CEO Larry D. Silver.
