Parent Charged after High School Player Hit

Woodbridge, Va. — Police charged a Woodbridge man after a star football player was punched in the face at a football game at Potomac Senior High School late last month.

The Washington Post reports a 48-year-old man turned himself into police Monday and was released on his own recognizance.

The 17-year-old victim who plays for C.D. Hylton was allegedly hit in the face by a parent who volunteers at Potomac, after the school’s football team lost to Hylton’s, 19-7 .
